Beef Shorthorn bulls met a strong, level demand, selling to a new October breed record of a 12,000gn average at the breed society’s official autumn sale at Stirling on Monday (23 October). Averages were up £2,100 on the year, with 13 bulls levelling at £5,121 – also a breed record – and selling to a clearance rate of 81%.
